| Well, I can finally update my Xanga (and LiveJournal), but I still
can't see my entries. Not on LJ, but I can somewhat see 'em on here.
They're just not in the place they're supposed to be... Everything's
layered on top of everything else.
Damn Firefox and it's crappiness! *shakes fist*
Anyway...I'll post up an update when I get back home, for sure. I'll be back in a couple of weeks.
Hopefully I can remember all the highlights of this trip and all the stuff I wanted to mention and whatnot..

| We have relatives that live in Mississippi that just went through Hurricane Katrina.
I'd talked to my cousin a couple days ago, before the hurricane hit their area, and she told me that her parents decided to stay home instead of going to a shelter. They've done so in past hurricanes, but Katrina isn't like past hurricanes.
We were so worried about them. Phone services are out so we weren't able to contact them yesterday. And this morning, while I was watching the news, they were reporting from their city and it was so terrible. It was also reported that 50 or so people had died from that general area of Mississippi.
Thankfully, we found out they're okay. My mom just told me that my aunt had called earlier and told her that they were fine. Their house though... The roof was completely torn off, along with one bedroom. They're currently in a shelter, where they should have been in the first place.

| I was thinking of bringing something, a gift, for Kao's family when I go up to visit them. I don't know what, but I have to think soon, since I may be going this weekend, instead of next month. One of my cousins contacted me and told me that they're going to be down here this weekend.
I'm not so sure now if I should go. Kao just called me and it seems that his family is going through something right now. Yesterday he told me that he and his mom got concerned over their phone bill. Apparently there were some unknown calls made. Firstly, for at about 1 minute intervals, the some up to 10 minutes. Kao called this number and a Mien female answered. And today, Kao told me that he overheard his parents fighting about those phone calls. His mom brought it up to his dad and his dad told her to just drop it or else he would leave, while starting to pack up his clothes.
...
Could it be that his father is having an affair?
I don't know if it would be an appropriate time for me to visit and meet his family. But then if this is going to be a troublesome, worrysome time for him, I would like to be there for him.

I know I've been neglecting you for my LiveJournal as of late, but I haven't forgotten about you.
In fact, I have one lil' something to update about, and I haven't even mentioned it in my LJ...yet. I joined the Neopets User Lookup Spotlight competition. And in doing so, I've created my very first layout! =) Once I got the hang of Photoshop, it didn't take as long as I thought it would. Maybe that's due to the simplicity of it, but anyway, I made my very first layout using Photoshop! ^_^ I know it's not the best layout ever made, but I think it's pretty decent-looking. And I'm excited to know that I can make such a thing. I can't believe how image editing deprieved I was before I got Photoshop.
